WITH SUBSTANTIAL VALENTINE'S SUCCESS

- Revenues jumped 25% compared with same period last year -

San Diego, CA, March 6, 2003 - Proflowers, Inc., the largest direct-from-the-grower flower provider in the U.S., today announced a 25% increase in net revenue this Valentine's Day season (February 1-14, 2003), an increase from $16 million in 2002 to $20 million in 2003. With approximately 2.6 million rose stems and 1.4 million tulips shipped the week of February 11-14, 2003, Proflowers sent more flowers direct-from- the-grower than any other company this Valentine's Day, reflecting a 20% increase in units shipped during this period, up from 280,627 in 2002 to 335,844 in 2003.

In addition to the net revenue increase, the company saw a 4% rise in revenue generated per order, from $55.53 in 2002, to $59.01 in 2003, as well as a 13% increase in orders from new customers during the 2003 Valentine's Day period, compared to the same period in 2002. The company also announced second quarter revenues rose 19% to $16.4 million for the period ending December 31, 2002, compared with the same period last year.

"Our revenue and order growth can be attributed to the premium we place on continued steps towards excellence in the quality of our flowers and in our efforts to always place the customer first," said Bill Strauss, Proflowers' Chief Executive Officer. "We have a distinct advantage over our top competitors in that we use a network of over 20 of the best flower growers, whereas our competitors use only one or a few growers, presenting them with fewer product options. Our vast flower network translates into our ability to offer the best product to our customers at the most competitive prices, which is clearly reflected in the continued growth of the company."
