Provide Commerce Management Team

William Strauss joined us in April 1998 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Strauss was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in November 1999 and was elected a member of our board of directors in December 1998. From October 2001 to November 2004, Mr. Strauss was also our assistant secretary. Prior to joining us, Mr. Strauss was part of the senior management team at ChipSoft, Inc., the makers of TurboTax, which was acquired by Intuit, Inc. in 1993. In the early 1990s, Mr. Strauss was vice president of operations for Hanover Direct, a large catalog company. Mr. Strauss holds a BA in Accounting from Syracuse University.


Abraham Wynperle joined us in November 1999 through our merger with Flower Farm Direct, Inc. Mr. Wynperle has more than 20 years of experience in the fresh cut flower industry in the U.S. In May 2000, Mr. Wynperle became our President and Chief Operating Officer and a member of our board of directors, from which he resigned in 2003. Prior to joining us, Mr. Wynperle was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Flower Farm Direct, Inc., a direct-from-the-grower Internet floral retailer from January 1998 to November 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Wynperle was Chief Executive Officer of Sunburst Farms-Floramerica Group, which was sold to Dole Food Company, Inc. in 1997. Mr. Wynperle holds an MBA and a BBA from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington.


Blake Bilstad joined us as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in April 2004. Prior to joining us, from November 2001 to April 2004, Mr. Bilstad worked with Vivendi Universal Net USA Group, Inc., the U.S. group of internet companies owned by Vivendi Universal S.A., a French entertainment and telecommunications conglomerate, serving most recently as the group's Senior Vice President of legal affairs and secretary. From June 1999 to November 2001, Mr. Bilstad was with MP3.com, Inc., an online music company that was acquired by Vivendi Universal in August 2001, and held a variety of legal positions at MP3.com including Vice President of Corporate Legal Affairs, Corporate Counsel and Secretary. From November 1996 to June 1999, Mr. Bilstad served as a business associate at the law firm of Cooley Godward LLP. Mr. Bilstad holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA in History from Duke University.


Steven Goldstein joined us in July 2004 as Vice President and General Manager of the Gourmet Food Business Unit and was promoted to Senior Vice President in October 2005. In June 2007, he became Senior Vice President of the Gourmet Food Business Unit and Retention Marketing. Prior to joining us, from October 2002 to June 2004, Mr. Goldstein was Vice President and General Manager at Gateway Inc. where he ran the software and peripherals business. From May 1999 to October 2002, Mr. Goldstein held various senior management positions at Peregrine Systems including Area Vice President and General Manager of Asset Management Solutions. Additionally, Mr. Goldstein was an associate with Hanna Ventures, a venture capital firm. Prior to this he was a management consultant with Bain & Company. Mr. Goldstein holds a MBA from Stanford University where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar and a BS in Economics, summa cum laude, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.


Anna Hansen joined us in November 2005 as Senior Vice President of Consumer Insights and Service. Prior to joining us, Ms. Hansen was the Senior Vice President of Collection Operations at Encore Capital Group where she was responsible for the call center, direct mail, and legal outsourcing operations. Before that she worked for Gateway Inc. as the Director of Retail Inventory Management where she was responsible for optimizing inventory replenishment for all of Gateway's retails Stores. Prior to that she served as the Director of Service Strategy and Implementation where she was responsible for developing a strategy to transform Gateway's customer service and technical support from a cost center to a fully profitable P&L. Before Gateway, Ms. Hansen was an Associate Principal at the consulting firm McKinsey & Company. Prior to McKinsey, she was an aerospace engineer working at MIT's Space Engineering Research Center, ITEK Optical Systems and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Ms. Hansen received her BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Washington and her MS in Aeronautics & Astronautics from MIT. She also completed McKinsey's accelerated MBA program in 1996 and studied marketing and management of innovation at MIT's Sloan School of Management.


John Kuehn joined us as Senior Vice President of Planning & Logistics in August 2005. Prior to joining us, Mr. Kuehn was Vice President of Planning & Logistics at Gateway Inc. from April 2003 to July 2005. Previously, Mr. Kuehn served as Senior Director of Worldwide Logistics for Apple Computer from October 2000 to March 2003. Mr. Kuehn worked from 1998 to 2000 in various supply chain transformation, technology development and integration roles for AnswerThink Consulting Group and ClearCross Inc. From January 1995 to July 1998 Mr. Kuehn managed Global Logistics for Komag Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of thin-film media. Additionally, Mr. Kuehn served at Hewlett Packard Company from 1988-1995 in various operations and supply chain roles. Mr. Kuehn holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and a BBA in Logistics from Iowa State University.


Jonathan Sills joined us as Vice President, Strategy and Product Development in May 1999. He became Vice President, Strategy and General Manager of Business Services in July 2000 and since December 2002 has served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development. From October 1997 to May 1999, Mr. Sills worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. A Fulbright Scholar, Mr. Sills holds an MS with distinction in history of science and technology from Oxford University and a BS in Engineering and Management Systems, summa cum laude, from Princeton University.


Mark Sottosanti joined us as a Senior Analyst in October 1999. He became Director of Strategic Research and Analysis in March 2000 and became Vice President, Planning and Logistics in May 2000. In August 2004, he became Senior Vice President, Planning and Logistics, and in October 2005, he was appointed to Senior Vice President and General Manager of the ProFlowers Business Unit. Currently, Mr. Sottosanti is the Senior Vice President of New Business Initiatives and Marketing, a position he has held since June 2006. Prior to joining Provide Commerce, Mr. Sottosanti ran A-V Health Promotions which he founded in June 1993, a business focused on expanding the market penetration of leading edge dental technologies. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Sottosanti consulted for Lifecore Biomedical, a manufacturer of dental implant systems used in tooth replacement therapy, dental regeneration products, and hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid) products. Mr. Sottosanti holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.


Rex Bosen joined us as Vice President of Finance and Accounting in September 2002. Mr. Bosen became our Corporate Treasurer in October 2002 and served as our Secretary from September 2003 through April 2004. Prior to joining us, Mr. Bosen co-founded and served as Chief Financial Officer at PhatPipe, Inc., a start-up company involved with the provision of high speed Internet access and e-commerce from September 1999 through January 2001. From September 1992 through October 1999, Mr. Bosen served as the controller at E/G Electro-graph, Inc., a manufacturing company. From August 1984 to September 1992, Mr. Bosen worked at Price Waterhouse. Mr. Bosen is a director of Linspire, Inc., a Linux desktop software company. Mr. Bosen holds an MAcc and BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University.


Adam Fischer joined us as Director of Strategic Analysis and forecasting in April 2003. He became Vice President, Planning and Forecasting in August 2004. Prior to joining us, Mr. Fischer was Chief of Staff and Vice President, Finance at RentAnything, Inc., an e-commerce marketplace which he co-founded in September 1999. From August 1997 to September 1999, Mr. Fischer worked as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. From September 1993 to September 1995, Mr. Fischer worked as a systems consultant at Accenture. Mr. Fischer holds an M.B.A. with high honors from the University of Chicago and an MS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Physics with highest honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara.


Prana Gogia joined us in October 2002 as the Vice President of Information Systems. Mr. Gogia leads and manages a team of architects and engineers for solving business problems using technology and aligns the IT strategy with the business strategy. Prior to provide-commerce he worked with fortune 500 companies in finance and the banking industries for developing and implementing IT strategies and enterprise architecture. Mr. Gogia has an MBA in IT Management and a BS in Engineering.


Penny Handscomb, joined us in May 1999 as the Vice President of Human Resources and Training. She came with over 14 years of experience in the Human Resource field. For the past several years, Ms. Handscomb has been responsible for setting the strategic and operational development of the HR function for startup companies mainly in the Call Center industry as well as having worked in the Software, CTI industry. She has worked extensively throughout Canada and the U.S. in addition to working internationally. In doing so she was responsible for setting the strategy and the systems required in the areas of: training, organizational development, performance management, compensation, recruitment and selection and employee relations. She has created innovative hiring and training programs across North America that reduced turnover and the time to hire, as well as increased employee performance. Ms. Handscomb graduated from the University of Waterloo, and from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario. She has received her CHRP and CHRM designations which are recognized in Canada and internationally. Currently she is working on obtaining her SPHR designation.


Clark Howard joined us as Vice President, Logistics and Supply Chain in August 2004. Prior to joining us, from November 2002 to August 2004, Mr. Howard served as Vice President of Operations for Keeco LLC, a private label consumer products manufacturing company. From May 2000 to November 2002, Mr. Howard worked as Director of Worldwide Planning and Logistics for JDS Uniphase, a global manufacturer of optical communications products and equipment. From December 1997 to May 2000, Mr. Howard served as Director of Logistics for Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Mr. Howard holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.


Mark Irace joined us as Chief Analytical Officer in April 1999. He then became Vice President of Acquisition in February 2000, and his role expanded to Vice President of Acquisition and Retention in July 2001. In this role, Mr. Irace developed testing strategies to increase the profit per customer acquired, as well as customer retention strategies. He became Vice President of Consumer Insights in December 2004, where he launched the Consumer Insight team to increase overall customer satisfaction. In July 2005, he became Vice President of Marketing for the Gourmet Food Business Unit where his responsibilities included developing marketing strategies to aggressively grow the Gourmet Food Business Unit and subsequent brands. Currently Mr. Irace is the Vice President of the Gourmet Foods Business Unit, a position he has held since June 2007. Prior to joining Provide Commerce, Mr. Irace developed domestic and international mailing strategies where he acquired many of publishing's largest volume mailers including National Geographic and Time Warner. Mr. Irace received his BS in Marketing from Miami University and his MBA from the University of San Diego. Mr. Irace is also a frequent industry speaker and has taught Internet Marketing at the University of California at San Diego.


Kent Olson joined us in April 2004 as Director of Strategy & Corporate Development with a focus on identifying and launching new business initiatives. He became Vice President, Website in May 2007, leading a new group focusing on financial optimization of the website. Prior to joining us, Kent led a privatization initiative as a member of the Senior Executive Service in the Department of Homeland Security. From 1999 to 2002, he managed strategic planning and market research for an Internet communications startup. From 1996 to 2002, he worked as a management consultant. Kent holds a MBA with Honors in International Business from Georgetown University and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.


Marc Schneider joined us in 2006 as Vice President of Customer Contact Operations. He has over 15 years of experience as an operator, investment banker, and management consultant working across a variety of industries such as call center operations, financial services, oil & gas, chemicals, utilities, commercial printing, and international development. Mr. Schneider also has extensive experience in post-merger integration, cost reduction, value-based selling, pricing, and new venture launch. Mr. Schneider received his BS in Economics and Accounting from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA in Marketing and Statistics from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. He was a Visiting Professor of Competitive Strategy at the University of Anahuac in Mexico City and has served as a Board member of several non-profit institutions.


Greg Smith joined us as Vice President of Merchandising in September 2006. Prior to joining us, he was the Director and Divisional Merchandise Manager (Tabletop division) for Williams-Sonoma Retail from 2000-2006, and a Senior Buyer (Tabletop and Furniture division) for Williams-Sonoma Mail Order from 1998-2000. From 1995-1998, Mr. Smith was a Senior Buyer of Animation Art and Collectibles for The Disney Store, Inc. From 1992-1995 he worked for Hallmark Cards, Inc. as the Creative Product Development Manager (Everyday Specialty division) and from 1989-1992 as the Merchandising Manager of Product Mix for Future Stores. Mr. Smith holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
